There are a few exciting events coming up for Cupid’s Landing, so I wanted to take a minute to sum them all up for you. And, some very exciting news – while in the process of writing this post, I received a letter confirming that the 501(c)(3) application has been approved! Cupid’s Landing is now a registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit charity organization. This means that donations are tax deductible, which makes the upcoming fundraisers that much more exciting!
The first upcoming event is a free presentation at Marlene’s in Tacoma called “The Power of Plant Based Eating: The Most Important Presentation You Will Ever Hear!”. You can read about that presentation here. To summarize, Dr. Joanne Kong and Paula Furner will discuss how eating a greener diet can benefit your health and the planet. It will start at 10am and go until 12pm. This event is free! Donations to Cupid’s Landing can be made at the event.
The next event is a community yard sale being held in Tacoma to raise money for Cupid’s Landing. We are accepting donations of items to sell. If you have items to donate, please contact me (you can write the donations off on your taxes!!) The sale will take place on Sunday, July 17th at 10am. It is tentatively going to take place right in my backyard, which will mean free vegan BBQ served up! Stay tuned for updates and details.
I will be spending the next 5 days camping in Lolo National Forest in Montana. This means that after I leave at 2am tomorrow morning, I will be unreachable until Saturday night. Stayed tuned for posts about the camping trip!
